As we enter prayer now, we pause to be still; to breathe slowly; to re-centre our scattered senses upon the awesome presence of God.*

Opening Sentences
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, yet He is always ready to forgive, and welcomes us, with open arms, to come boldly and frequently into His presence. His steadfast love and mercies never cease; they are new every morning.
Thanksgiving
Lord, we choose to rejoice and give thanks for all that you have done for us.
(time of thanksgiving – conclude with):
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
You are the One thing we seek, Lord, may we dwell in Your house all our days,
You keep us safe and shelter us, on Your beautiful face we will gaze.
We will sacrifice with shouts of joy, in your sacred place.
We will sing and make music to you, Lord, our hearts say ‘seek His face’.
We will not lose heart, Lord, because we believe we will see
Your goodness in the land of the living, have courage and wait, just be.
Armour Prayer
In Jesus' mighty name, we put on the full armour of God so that we may stand against the devil’s schemes.
Strengthened by the belt of truth buckled around our waist, and with the breastplate of righteousness in place, our hearts and emotions are protected.
We put the gospel of peace on our feet, so we’re ready to take your light wherever you send us this day.
We take up the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
We put on the helmet of salvation to guard our minds.
And we wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
We do all this prayerfully, with Your help, Lord, remaining alert and never giving up.
We now go out fully equipped and ready to do your will.
Amen.

Blessing Prayers
(Conclude with):
All our dear ones, Oh God, bless thou and keep, in every place where they are;
And may the blessing of God be upon all the Lord’s people.
Meditations
(Choose one/some/all)
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Lord because of your great mercy and all You have done for us we offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You—this is our true and proper worship.
We do not conform to the patterns of this world; we are being transformed by the continuous renewing of our minds. Then we will be able to test and approve what your will is—your good, pleasing and perfect will.
We wait patiently for You, for we love You and trust You, Jesus, our hope and our anchor.
Because You are with us, O Lord, we will not be discouraged or afraid to follow wherever You lead.
Help us to keep our eyes on You, Lord, not allowing anything to distract us from the Way.
We want to walk at Your pace, and lean on You, to hear Your heartbeat and try to love as You love.
As we seek first Your Kingdom, we don't need to worry; Your grace is sufficient.
Because we are Your children, we are no longer slaves to fear.
We see You, Lord, we hear You, and obey Your commands.
We are willing to ‘die to ourselves’ in order to live only for You.
So, we surrender once more; do with us as You will - we are Yours.
Blessing
The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace.
+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
